Downton Abbey Lady Edith / Reese Witherspoon Oscar 2013 Finger Wave Tutorial

Wednesday 27th, February 2013 / 12:34

In this video I show you how to easily achieve that classic finger wave look. This style was made popular in the 1920s and softer versions of it was carried through to later years. This technique can be used to execute styles inspired by the poor left-at-the-alter Lady Edith of Downton Abbey. Or wear as a softer version and it will be closer to the Hollywood siren look worn by Reese Witherspoon at the 2013 Oscars.

Come to think of it…isn’t The Great Gatsby coming out later this year?..

I’m so glad I can finally use this technique from my old-school cosmetology days at Minuteman Tech!

Excellent job! I LOVED this – it really DID look like Lady Edith, the poor thing – well, her life is poor, but her hair is great. L.
